Point Breeze Restaurant, Point Breeze Road in Webster
Carol Cyr, of The Office of Community Development in Webster, will give an update on the Commercial Property Improvement Program (CPIP) grant, applied for earlier this year with great response from the local business community, that will provide funds for Main Street building facade improvements, signs and awnings.
Ken Parker, of The French River Connection, will present information about the proposed French River Park in downtown Webster, also in conjunction with the grant. French River Park is an important element of two initiatives. It is a part of the French River Greenway, a project first conceived in 1990, which is being developed in sections. And it is an important element in downtown revitalization. Rediscovery of hardworking industrial rivers for new uses has been the key to reinvigorating many other mill towns.
A question and answer period will follow as well as the opportunity to network with fellow business people. Bring plenty of business cards!
Hors d'oeuvres will be served and a cash bar will be available.
